Breakthrough?

Location: C2 Tempe

Weapon: Glock G26

Rounds fired: 100
My rounds: 100

See photos. Grouping improved significantly with squeeze and hold vs. squeeze and release. Slow fire only. Used pinkie extension, alternating, undecided  about preference.

Me, obviously.

Visual of the distance(21 feet)

.

First set of rounds. Using the extension,  black marker, aimed at upper left target. Not a great grouping. One into the 7 ring of the lower target, another in the 9 ring of the lower target.

Target #2, blue marker, no pinkie extension better, but still very much up and to the left.

Target #3, green marker, shots everywhere! I think one missed the target entirely.

Target #4, orange marker, no extension, up and left again, one missed entirely.

Target #5, black marker, using extension. Up and left again, one below, one MIA.

Target #6, blue marker, mostly up and left. Two in target #5 area.

Target #7, green marker. Here’s where the change happened. After the 3rd shot, I started squeezing and then holding the trigger for a second after each shot (instead of a quicker squeeze-release which I suspect was causing my hand to jerk around somewhat). I’m not sure which ones were shots 1-3, but this is a much better grouping, with 5 in the black.

#8, Orange marker, no extension. Wow! In the 9-ring is a group of four shots (somewhat undesirable if you want multiple holes in your bandit). But still pretty good.

Same target #8

I failed to photograph #9, which was center-mass, but good grouping. This one (#10) was headshots, two missed but the others were pretty good. Note a group of four (to the anatomical right of the head) and another group in the center.

A photo of the Glock 26 in its case. Two magazines below it, item on the far right is a loader (helps hold the spring in the magazine to make it easier to load the rounds). Bottom left is the as-yet-unattached extension.

Practice at 21, 25, and 30 feet. Some rapid fire aimed at X, for that, 9/10 hit target (B27 EP) with 2 in X. Last two were “head” shots, successful.
